Introducing the Velossa Tech 2018-2020 Ford F-150 and 2021-2022 Ford F-150 Raptor Quad BIG MOUTH Ram Air Intake Snorkels, available in Quad ram (current listing) and Dual ram configurations.

The F-150 Quad BIG MOUTH Ram Air features four separate and functional ram air inlet points with stylized inlet flares with full Color Chasing RGBW LEDs controlled via the BanlanX App or the supplied Bluetooth remote control (Dual kits include only the two larger primary ducts and controller). All wiring is supplied in the kit, and a color installation manual is downloadable from our Installation section (see below).

Each ram air duct feeds high speed air to the cavity above the radiator support which in turn feeds the intake cowl, this boosts mass air flow (see data below) and reduces vacuum work. Increasing mass air and reducing vacuum work frees up power and boosts fuel economy. The faster the vehicle moves, the higher the air pressure that feeds the BIG MOUTH system and intake cowl and the more performance you get. 

Below is all the data collected over months of testing. All tests were performed with isolation of the singular variable (with and without the ram air) and with utmost consistency of the test conditions. 

NOTE: Inlet temperatures continuously increasing after back to back runs without the ram air system, compared to lower and consistently repeatable inlet turbo inlet temperatures with the BIG MOUTH ram air system installed.

NOTE: Increase in air load (air consumption, which equates to power) after BIG MOUTH installation. 

NOTE: Dragy runs use GPS to accurately calculate actual on-road performance of a vehicle. This test method is the best way to measure actual performance in real world conditions where a ram air intake really shines. Results indicate an increase in horsepower as the vehicle picks up speed. Top end performance shows a respectable increase in both ET and trap speed.

If you already have a Generation 4 BIG MOUTH, don't fret, you can buy the LIT flares separately instead of a whole new kit! Just bolt on your flares to your Gen 4 and follow the instructions to wire up the kit and you are good to go!

How It Works
As a car moves through the air, the air pressure directly in front of the bumper increases with the square of speed. The BIG MOUTH is strategically designed and positioned for maximum air pressure recovery. Basically, it feeds your current intake with higher pressure air. It is the same concept as driving below sea level where the air pressure is higher, except you are able to generate higher inlet pressures with a properly designed ram duct such as the BIG MOUTH.

Increasing the inlet absolute pressure to your engine has profound effects on performance. Increases in air mass flow, reduction in wastegate duty cycle (for turbo vehicles) and reduced inlet and charge temps are some of the benefits of running a properly designed ram inlet. On top of all that awesome performance comes the BIG MOUTH growl and sinister stare, it sounds and looks great!

NOTE: From our testing, rain or snow do not adversely affect the engine once a BIG MOUTH is installed. Be cautious in the rain or snow, and drive safe.
