Note: The 2012-2019 BMW F30 (3-Series) and 2013-2020 BMW F32 (4-Series) BIG MOUTH "LIT KIT" Ram Air Intake Snorkel is not compatible with BMW M Sport models and CSF Heat Exchangers.

Do note that in the first video below, the 328i install calls for an additional duct to be purchased to complete the closed system, however this is not necessary for the 340i as that model already comes with a closed system from the cowl back to the intake.

If you already have a Generation 4 BIG MOUTH, don't fret, you can buy the LIT flares separately instead of a whole new kit! Just bolt on your flares to your Gen 4 and follow the instructions to wire up the kit and you are good to go!

The LIT Flare-Only kit allows you to swap your current Gen 4 flares to be LIT with ease by bolting on the LIT flares with a few set screws.

How It Works
As a car moves through the air, the air pressure directly in front of the bumper increases with the square of speed. The BIG MOUTH is strategically designed and positioned for maximum air pressure recovery. Basically, it feeds your current intake with higher pressure air. It is the same concept as driving below sea level where the air pressure is higher, except you are able to generate higher inlet pressures with a properly designed ram duct such as the BIG MOUTH.

Increasing the inlet absolute pressure to your engine has profound effects on performance. Increases in air mass flow, reduction in wastegate duty cycle (for turbo vehicles) and reduced inlet and charge temps are some of the benefits of running a properly designed ram inlet. On top of all that awesome performance comes the BIG MOUTH growl and sinister stare, it sounds and looks great!

Installation can be done with basic hand tools. We supply all straightforward color instructions (downloadable below), backed with our 5-star Customer Support to help guide if any questions arise. All hardware is always included (if necessary) in our BIG MOUTH Ram Air kits.

NOTE: From our testing, rain or snow do not adversely affect the engine once a BIG MOUTH is installed. Be cautious in the rain or snow, and drive safe.
